Our Abpromise guarantee covers the use of ab22736 in the following tested applications.
The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
IHC-Fr: 1/400 - 1/1600.
IHC-P: 1/400 - 1/1600.
Notes: Dilute to working strength with PBS containing 0.1% w/v sodium azide.
Store diluted antibodies at 2-4°C(do not freeze) and use within 1 month.
using overnight incubation and indirect immunofluorescence procedure.
Not tested in other applications.
Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
VIP causes vasodilation, lowers arterial blood pressure, stimulates myocardial contractility, increases glycogenolysis and relaxes the smooth muscle of trachea, stomach and gall bladder.
PHM and PHV also cause vasodilation.
Belongs to the glucagon family.

Immunohistochemistry (Frozen sections) - VIP antibody (ab22736)

ab22736 staining VIP in jejunum tissue section of pig by Immunohistochemistry (frozen sections). Tissue underwent fixation in paraformaldehyde and incubated with primary antibody, diluted 1/200 for 24 hours. A Texas Red® conjugated goat polyclonal to rabbit, dilution 1/400 was used as the secondary.

Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections) - VIP antibody (ab22736)

ab22736 staining VIP in sheep abomasum tissue sections by immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin embedded sections). Tissue underwent fixation in paraformaldehyde without undergoing permeabilization and blocking steps. The primary antibody was diluted 1/1200 and incubated with sample for 24 hours. A FITC-conjugated goat polyclonal (IgG whole molecule) to rabbit IgG was diluted 1/400 and used as secondary.
