I have recently purchased anti-rabbit WBP2 ab from abcam. I need this for immunocytochemistry and look at nuclear localization. I would like to know if this antibody binds to the phosphorylated form (in nucleus-localized WBP2)?

Thank you for your inquiry.

The immunogen for this antibody is a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 192˜221 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human WBP2.

Therefore the antibody binds just in front of the tyrosine 232that can be phosphorylated and should recognize the protein irrespective of its phosphorylation state.

Unfortunately, this antibody is not tested and guaranteed for ICC by us. We simply do not know yet if it is suitable for ICC. We would very much appreciate your feedback on this and encourage you to submit an Abreview with the results from this antibody in ICC.
