Target

Relevance

WDR13 belongs to the WD repeat protein family. These are minimally conserved regions of about 40 amino acids usually bracketed by gly-his and trp-asp (GH-WD), whose role mey be to facilitate formation of heterotrimeric or multiprotein complexes. These proteins are involved in several cellular processes, such as cell cycle progression, signal transduction, apoptosis, and gene regulation. WDR13 is widely expressed in different tissues, and is located on chromosome X. Its function is still to be determined.
