Recommended dilutions WB: 1/5000. Predicted molecular weight: 38 kDa.
By Western blot, this antibody recognizes a band at 38kDa representing XRCC3.There are multiple bands for TK6 and HeLa cell extracts (this is normal and seen with XRCC3 recombinant protein). The band just above the XRCC3 band does notappear in nuclear extracts of TK6 cells (untested in HeLa), but theother two higher molecular weight bands are still present. We do notknow, however, what the higher molecular weight bands represent.
Not tested in other applications. Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.

Relevance
|
The XRCC3 gene encodes a member of the RecA/Rad51-related protein family that participates in homologous recombination to maintain chromosome stability and repair DNA damage. It is essential for repairing the double strand DNA breaks by homologous recombination between sister chromatids. It is homologous to RAD51. Five human homologues of RAD51; XRCC2, XRCC3, RAD51B, RAD51C, RAD51D, interact among themselves to form one big complex or several smaller complexes.
