Question 1

Thursday 30-August-2007

I would like to know if the Zfp281 monoclonal antibody has been tested on lysates of human cell lines. Is the recombinant protein used for immunization a fragment of Zfp281? Why the molecular weight is 35 kDa? Many thanks,

ANSWER:

Thank you for your enquiry.

I am afraid that we do not have any information on whether this product has been used with human cell line lysates but we have tested it on human samples and therefore, guarantee it to work in human species.

For your information, the immunogen sequence for this product is as follows.

CSQCSMGFIQKYLLQRHEKIHSREKPFGCDQCSMKFIQKYHMERHKRTHSGEKPYKCDTCQQYFSRT DRLLKHRRTCGEVIVKGATSAEPGSSNHTNMGNLAVLSQGNTSSSRRKT

The molecular weight of the immunogen is 13kDa and the tag is approximately 20kDa. Therefore, the band appears around the 33kDa to 35kDa.

I hope I have managed to answer your questions. Should you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
