I have been using anti-fetuin antibody (Cat. # ab13980) to visualize conversion of asialofetuin to fetuin by a western blot in a sialyltransferase assay. According to my observation, the antibody binds to asialo-form of fetuin much stronger than sialic acid containing fetuin. Is this true? |

Thank you for your enquiry and my apologies for the delay in finding out more information to answer your question. We haven't observed this effect before - it is really a new information for us. We tested our antibody in ELISA or WB using native Fetuin A purified from human plasma (this is the positive control) and also human serum or plasma from healthy people and from dialysis patients. I hope this information helps, |
