Question 1

Friday 28-October-2011

need MSDS specifications concerning your antibodies:     reticulina COD ab22683                                                                                   FSH beta COD:INN-Hfsh-60                                                                                   FOX P3 COD: ab20034                                                                                   Pyruvate dehydrogenase COD: ab66511                                                                                   RBP COD: ab8609                                                                                   SP17 COD: ab6078                                                                                   Topoisomerasi II alfa COD: ab74715                                                                                   Alpha smooth muscle actin COD: ab32575   Thanks, best regards

ANSWER:

Thank you for your inquiry.

The antibodies (ab6078, ab8609, ab20034, ab22683, ab32575, ab66511, ab74715) need an MSDS only for the Sodium Azide in the storage buffer. For ab66511 there is no MSDS neccessary at all. The MSDS can be found on the datasheet of the respective antibodies on the right hand side.

For your information I attached an MSDS for Sodium Azide to this email. I hope this information is helpful.

Please do not hesitate to contact me again with any further questions.

Question 2

Wednesday 14-September-2011

What is the concentration of lot GR32377-3 ?

ANSWER:

Thank you for contacting us.

The concentration for ab32575, lot GR32377-3, is 0.027 mg/mL.

Since the antibody is a rabbit monoclonal, the concentration is lower than for mouse monoclonal antibodies, but the rabbit mono antibody has a higher specificty than a mouse mono antibody.

I hope this information is helpful to you. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need any more advice or information.

Question 3

Monday 11-September-2006

which isotype (IgG1, IgG2 etc.) is the monoclonal antibody with the prod.no. ab32575?

ANSWER:

Thank you for your enquiry.

I apologise for the delay in response to your message, it has taken some time to obtain more details from the laboratory. Rabbit generated antibodies do not have specific IgG subclasses like Mice or Humans. Therefore rabbit monoclonal antibodies are usually simply considered to be Rabbit IgG and therefore I'm afraid I do not have more specific information regarding the isotype of ab32575.

I'm sorry I couldn't help you more on this occasion. Please do not hesitate to contact me again should you have any more questions and I will do my best to help you.

Question 4

Monday 07-August-2006

ab32575 = alpha smooth muscle Actin antibody [E184]

Ab concentration?

ANSWER:

Dear D. Thuynh,

I apologize if I got your name incorrectly (just based on e-mail info).

Thank you for your enquiry and patience.

At present, the concentration of ab32575 (clone E184) is 10 ug/ml.

Question 5

Monday 08-May-2006

For the IHC images shown on the datasheet, specifically what method of antigen retrieval was done?

ANSWER:

Thank you for your enquiry. The originator of this antibody recommends performing an antigen retrieval step using 0.01M Sodium Citrate Buffer, pH 6.0. I have included the protocol below, please contact us again if you have any additional questions.

Antigen Retrieval Solution: 0.01M Sodium Citrate Buffer, pH 6.0

To prepare stock solutions: Solution A. 0.1 M citric acid solution: dissolve 21.0 g of citric acid, monohydrate (C6H8O7.H2O) in 1 liter of dH2O. Solution B. 0.1M sodium citrate solution: dissolve 29.4 g trisodium citrate dihydrate (C6H5Na3O7.2H2O) in 1 liter of dH2O. Working solution: Add 9 ml of Stock solution A and 41 ml of stock solution B to 450 ml of dH2O. Adjust pH to 6.0.

Antigen Retrieval:

1. Immerse slides into staining dish containing Antigen Retrieval Solution.

2. Place covered staining dish into the rice cooker. Add 120 ml of dH2O.

3. When “cook” is turned to “warm” (about 20–30 min), unplug the cooker and remove the staining dish to the bench top.

4. Allow to cool down, without cover, for 20 min.
