Application notespeptide ELISA: 1/80000 (determined against 0.1 µg of the phosphorylated and non-phosphorylated forms of the immunizing peptide). Approximately equivalent staining is seen when both the phosphorylated and non-phosphorylated form of the immunizing peptide are bound to the ELISA plate.
We have tested this antibody on various human tissue lysates and have as yet detected no bands of the appropriate size, however we have seen low background.
Not tested in other applications.
Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
FunctionComponent of the anaphase promoting complex/cyclosome (APC/C), a cell cycle-regulated E3 ubiquitin ligase that controls progression through mitosis and the G1 phase of the cell cycle. The APC/C complex acts by mediating ubiquitination and subsequent degradation of target proteins: it mainly mediates the formation of 'Lys-11'-linked polyubiquitin chains and, to a lower extent, the formation of 'Lys-48'- and 'Lys-63'-linked polyubiquitin chains.
PathwayProtein modification; protein ubiquitination.
Sequence similaritiesBelongs to the APC1 family. Contains 4 PC repeats.
Post-translational modificationsPhosphorylated. Phosphorylation on Ser-355 occurs specifically during mitosis.
