Applications

Our Abpromise guarantee covers the use of ab81176 in the following tested applications.

The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.

Application Abreviews Notes
WB Use a concentration of 1 µg/ml. Predicted molecular weight: 46 kDa. Good results were obtained when blocked with 5% non-fat dry milk in 0.05% PBS-T.
ELISA Use at an assay dependent concentration.

Titre using peptide based assay: 1/1562500.

Target

  • FunctionExhibits strong arylesterase activity with beta-naphthyl acetate and phenyl acetate. May play a role in adipocyte differentiation.
  • Tissue specificityLiver, glomerular and tubular structures of the kidney, endothelial cells, arterial wall and pancreatic islets of Langerhans (at protein level). Found ubiquitously in adult as well as in embryonic tissues. In adult tissue, the highest expression is found in the liver, placenta and heart. Found on the cell surface of monocytes. In embryonic tissue, the highest expression levels is found in the liver and the kidney.
  • Sequence similaritiesBelongs to the strictosidine synthase family.
  • Cellular localizationMembrane.
