Fast track antibodies constitute a diverse group of products that have been released to accelerate your research, but are not yet fully characterized. They have all been affinity purified and show high titre values against the immunizing peptide (by ELISA).
Application notesIHC-P: see figure below
This antibody gave a positive result in ELISA against the immunizing peptide (ab50068).
Not yet tested in other applications.
Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
FunctionApolipoprotein B is a major protein constituent of chylomicrons (apo B-48), LDL (apo B-100) and VLDL (apo B-100). Apo B-100 functions as a recognition signal for the cellular binding and internalization of LDL particles by the apoB/E receptor.
Involvement in diseaseHypobetalipoproteinemia, familial, 1 Familial ligand-defective apolipoprotein B-100 Defects in APOB associated with defects in other genes (polygenic) can contribute to hypocholesterolemia.
This Fast-Track antibody is not yet fully characterised. These images represent
inconclusive preliminary data.
Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections) - Apolipoprotein B antibody (ab50069)
IHC image of Apoliporotein B staining in human liver carcinoma FFPE section, performed on a BondTM system using the standard protocol F. The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH6, epitope retrieval solution 1) for 20 mins. The section was then incubated with ab50069, 5µg/ml, for 8 mins at room temperature and detected using an HRP conjugated compact polymer system. DAB was used as the chromogen. The section was then counterstained with haematoxylin and mounted with DPX.
Immunoprecipitation - Anti-Apolipoprotein B antibody (ab50069)This image is courtesy of an anonymous abreview.
Immunoprecipitation of Apolipoprotein B, using a Huh7.5 human hepatoma cell line conditioned medium. The protein was immunoprecipitated from 1.8 mL spent medium, using 29µg of Rabbit polyclonal to Apolipoprotein B (ab50069). A different Apolipoprotein B antibody was used for the western blot.
Lanes 1: Pull down with ab50069, Lane 2: IP control with rabbit IgG.
