Our Abpromise guarantee covers the use of ab14419 in the following tested applications.
The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
ELISA: Use at an assay dependent dilution.
IHC-P: Tested in uterus and kidney sections. Use at an assay dependent dilution.
RIA: Use at an assay dependent dilution.
WB: Use at an assay dependent dilution. Predicted molecular weight: 8 kDa.
Not yet tested in other applications.
Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
Has antimicrobial activity. Synergistic effects with lysozyme and DEFB103.
High expression in the testis. Gastric antrum exhibited relatively high levels. A lower expression is observed in uterus and neutrophils thyroid gland, lung, and kidney. No detectable expression in other tissues tested.
Belongs to the beta-defensin family.
Secreted.

ab14419 staining beta 4 Defensin in human pancreatic tissue by Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections). Tissue was fixed with formaldehyde and a heat mediated antigen retrieval step was performed. Samples were then incubated with the primary antibody at a 1/100 dilution for 1 hour at 25°C. An undiluted HRP-conjugated goat IgG polyclonal was used as the secondary antibody.
