Anti-beta Actin antibody (ab8229)

Do you have a different lot of ab8229 because if I get ab8227 I would have to get an anti-rabbit secondary antibody.

We do not currently have any other lots of ab8229 available. We have primary antibodies against actin that were raised in mouse and chicken. Would one of those work better for you?

Thanks for your reply. I did get some non-specific binding with the secondary only control but not as high as with both primary and secondary. I am using a very sensitive ECL reagent that we are developing and I believe I get the background in the secondary only control because I am doing long exposures to try and see the specific signal.

I would appreciate a replacement for the Primary antibody and I thank you for your help in resolving the matter.

I tested the new lot, but still could not see any signal on the western blot. I attached the file. The green band is my protein of interest which confirms for you that I actually have protein on the membrane. A red signal would represent actin. Only lane 1 and 2 should be positive for actin, not lane 3 and 4.

How shall we continue on this issue?
