General notesThe lyophilized antibody is stable for at least 2 years from date of receipt at -20°C. The reconstituted antibody is stable for at least two weeks at 2-8°C. Frozen aliquots are stable for at least 6 months when stored at -20°C.

Storage instructionsShipped at 4°C. Store at +4°C short term (1-2 weeks). Store at -20°C or -80°C. Avoid freeze / thaw cycle.
The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
Application notesELISA: Use at a concentration of 0.25 - 1 µg/ml. Allows the detection of at least 0.2 – 0.4 ng/well of recombinant human protein.
sELISA: Use at a concentration of 0.25 - 1 µg/ml. Allows the detection of at least 0.2 – 0.4 ng/well of recombinant human protein.
WB: Use at a concentration of 0.1 - 0.2 µg/ml. Detection limit for recombinant human protein is 1.5 - 3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions. Predicted molecular weight: 8 kDa.
Not yet tested in other applications.

FunctionExhibits antimicrobial activity against Gram-positive bacteria S.aureus and S.pyogenes, Gram-negative bacteria P.aeruginosa and E.coli and the yeast C.albicans. Kills multiresistant S.aureus and vancomycin-resistent E.faecium. No significant hemolytic activity was observed.
Tissue specificityHighly expressed in skin and tonsils, and to a lesser extent in trachea, uterus, kidney, thymus, adenoid, pharynx and tongue. Low expression in salivary gland, bone marrow, colon, stomach, polyp and larynx. No expression in small intestine.
