Meeting round up: Nov 3

Here's the latest in a series of regular posts to let you know what our scientific experts have been up to recently:

  • Jeong Suk attended the fourth Congress of Federation of Immunologoical Societies of Asia-Oceania, which was held in Tapei, Taiwan. She also attended the ninth International Congress on Cell Biology in Seoul, Korea.
  • Candy and Rachel attended the third ESF conference on 'Functional genomics and disease' in Innsbruck, Austria. This meeting brought together world leaders in functional genomics to discuss the current understanding of disease mechanisms, the challenges ahead and the technologies that will lead to novel solutions.
  • The Gene Regulatory Mechanisms and Development Symposium organized by Laurie Boyer and Abcam was held at Harvard Medical School, Boston, US. Topics included chromatin structure and function, non coding RNA in dosage compensation and chromatin organization, RNA splicing and regulation, and genomic analysis of gene regulation.
