I have some breaking news for the blog! If you've been on our website today, you may have noticed that we've added a new section of products, Developmental Biology. You can also see it in the Product browser - on the left hand side of the homepage, events pages, and all our datasheets.
This is a really popular and specialized research area, and we've had lots of scientists submitting product suggestions, and telling us at conferences that there was a lack of reagents and specific antibodies in this field. And this is the result (after a lot of research) - 1700 products, which will continue to grow as we add to our catalog.
We've come up with a nice way to organize it too – chronologically, from reproduction and embryogenesis all the way through to growth and aging. Talking of organization, you'll see that it uses our new expanding-collapsing menus. We've had a lot of useful feedback from scientists in our usability sessions, who felt that the long list of our antibodies was difficult to use, and a bit overwhelming. Hopefully this new version of the product browser should be a lot more user-friendly.
We're also looking to expand the range to different organisms, and will hopefully introduce specific antibodies to Zebrafish and Drosophila in the future. Of course, if you have any antibodies specific to Developmental Biology in your fridge, our licensing department would love to hear from you! And, with all of our catalog, if you run a search on our site and can't find what you need, you can make a product suggestion on the search results page.
What antibodies would you like us to see in Developmental Biology?
