Our Abpromise guarantee covers the use of ab25939 in the following tested applications.
The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
ICC/IF: Use a concentration of 5 µg/ml.
WB: Use a concentration of 1 - 2 µg/ml. Detects a band of approximately 70 kDa.
IHC-P: Use a concentration of 10 µg/ml.
Apoptotic suppressor. The BIR motifs region interacts with TNF receptor associated factors 1 and 2 (TRAF1 and TRAF2) to form an heteromeric complex, which is then recruited to the tumor necrosis factor receptor 2 (TNFR2).
Present in many fetal and adult tissues. Mainly expressed in adult skeletal muscle, thymus, testis, ovary, and pancreas, low or absent in brain and peripheral blood leukocytes.
Belongs to the IAP family.
Contains 3 BIR repeats.
Contains 1 CARD domain.
Contains 1 RING-type zinc finger.
Cytoplasm.

ab25939 at 10µg/ml staining cIAP1 in human lung cells by IHC
Immunocytochemistry/ Immunofluorescence-cIAP1 antibody(ab25939)

ICC/IF image of ab25939 stained HepG2 cells. The cells were 100% methanol fixed (5 min) and then incubated in 1%BSA / 10% normal goat serum / 0.3M glycine in 0.1% PBS-Tween for 1h to permeabilise the cells and block non-specific protein-protein interactions. The cells were then incubated with the antibody (ab25939, 5µg/ml) overnight at +4°C. The secondary antibody (green) was ab96899, DyLight® 488 goat anti-rabbit IgG (H+L) used at a 1/250 dilution for 1h. Alexa Fluor® 594 WGA was used to label plasma membranes (red) at a 1/200 dilution for 1h. DAPI was used to stain the cell nuclei (blue) at a concentration of 1.43µM.
