The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
Use a concentration of 0.5 - 1 µg/ml. Predicted molecular weight: 75 kDa.
Use a concentration of 20 µg/ml.
Use a concentration of 2.5 µg/ml.
FunctionMicrotubule-stabilizing protein that may be involved in the regulation of microtubule dynamics and cytoskeletal organization. May act as a regulator of RAC1 activity through interaction with ARHGEF2 to control lamellipodial formation and cell mobility. Does not seem to have protease activity as it has lost the active site residues.
Tissue specificityExpressed only in placenta.
Sequence similaritiesBelongs to the peptidase C2 family. Contains 1 C2 domain. Contains 1 calpain catalytic domain.
Cellular localizationCytoplasm > perinuclear region. Cytoplasm > cytoskeleton > spindle. During mitose associated with the mitotic spindle. At telophase colocalized to the midbody spindle.
Immunofluorescence of CAPN6 in Human Lung cells using ab76974 at 20 ug/ml.
