    Catalase [Bovine Liver]

  • General notes

Antibody reacts with the tetrameric hemeprotein catalase from all mammalian sources and likely most aerobic microorganisms. Catalase catalyzes the conversion of hydrogen peroxide to water and oxygen. This antibody is designed to detect the enzyme in most immunochemical methods. The antibody may facilitate the study of oxidative stress release in neuron transplantation.

Electron Microscopy Use at an assay dependent concentration.
ELISA 1/10000 - 1/40000.

This product has been assayed against 1.0 ug of Catalase (Bovine Liver) in a standard capture ELISA using ABTS (2,2prime-azino-bis-[3-ethylbenthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid]) as a substrate for 30 minutes at room temperature.

IHC-Fr Use at an assay dependent concentration.
IP Use at an assay dependent concentration.
WB Use at an assay dependent concentration. Detects a band of approximately 65 kDa (predicted molecular weight: 60 kDa).

This antibody has never been tested on FFPA sections, therefore we can't guarantee a result.

Try this antibody at 1:500 and adjust the dilution accordingly from the results obtained.

Judging from sequence analysis, it is quite possible that this antibody will detect catalase in Helicobacter pylori. However, because we have not actually tested this product on Helicobacter pylori, we can't guarantee that it will work.
