  • Function
    NADPH-dependent reductase with broad substrate specificity. Catalyzes the reduction of a wide variety of carbonyl compounds including quinones, prostaglandins, menadione, plus various xenobiotics. Catalyzes the reduction of the antitumor anthracyclines doxorubicin and daunorubicin to the cardiotoxic compounds doxorubicinol and daunorubicinol. Can convert prostaglandin E2 to prostaglandin F2-alpha. Can bind glutathione, which explains its higher affinity for glutathione-conjugated substrates. Catalyzes the reduction of S-nitrosoglutathione.

Anti-CBR1 antibody images

  • ab92576, at 1/50 dilution, staining CBR1 in paraffin-embedded human breast carcinoma tissue by Immunohistochemistry (Foramlin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections). Lefthand image without peptide and righthand image with peptide.
  • All lanes : Anti-CBR1 antibody (ab92576) at 1/500 dilution

    Lane 1 : HeLa cells
    Lane 2 : HeLa cells with Peptide at 10 µg

    Lysates/proteins at 30 µg per lane.

  • ICC/IF image of ab92576 stained MCF7 cells. The cells were 100% methanol fixed (5 min) and then incubated in 1%BSA / 10% normal goat serum / 0.3M glycine in 0.1% PBS-Tween for 1h to permeabilise the cells and block non-specific protein-protein interactions. The cells were then incubated with the antibody (ab92576, 1µg/ml) overnight at +4°C. The secondary antibody (green) was ab96899, DyLight® 488 goat anti-rabbit IgG (H+L) used at a 1/250 dilution for 1h.Alexa Fluor® 594 WGA was used to label plasma membranes (red) at a 1/200 dilution for 1h. DAPI was used to stain the cell nuclei (blue) at a concentration of 1.43µM.
