The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
Use a concentration of 0.3 - 1 µg/ml. Detects a band of approximately 25 kDa (predicted molecular weight: 21 kDa).
Use a concentration of 2 - 3 µg/ml.
Component of heterochromatin. Recognizes and binds histone H3 tails methylated at 'Lys-9', leading to epigenetic repression. Interaction with lamin B receptor (LBR) can contribute to the association of the heterochromatin with the inner nuclear membrane.
Expressed in all adult and embryonic tissues.
Contains 2 chromo domains.
Not phosphorylated. Ubiquitinated.
Nucleus. Unassociated with chromosomes during mitosis.
ab40828 at 2.5µg/ml staining CBX1 / HP1 in human placenta tissue section by Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/ PFA fixed paraffin-embedded sections). Tissue underwent antigen retrieval in steam with citrate buffer (pH 6.0). The AP-staining procedure was used for detection.
