Specificityab76520 is specific for a site in CD35 that is distal from the C3b-binding site, so that it is unable to block CD35 activity. This antibody is highly specific to CD35 and shows no cross-reaction with CD21.
The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
Application notesFlow Cyt: Use at an assay dependent dilution.
ICC/IF: Use at an assay dependent dilution.
IHC-P: 1/50 - 1/100 for 20 min at RT. Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min, and use of a high-sensitivity detection system.
Not yet tested in other applications.
Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
FunctionMediates cellular binding of particles and immune complexes that have activated complement.
Tissue specificityPresent on erythrocytes, leukocytes, glomerular podocytes, and splenic follicular dendritic cells.
Sequence similaritiesBelongs to the receptors of complement activation (RCA) family. Contains 30 Sushi (CCP/SCR) domains.
