Please note that this antibody is an oligoclonal antibody. It is a cocktail of monoclonal antibodies that have been carefully selected. Oligoclonal antibodies have not only the specificity and batch-to-batch consistency of a monoclonal antibody, but also have the advantage of the sensitivity of a polyclonal antibody due to their ability to recognize multiple epitopes on an antigen.
Abcam is committed to meeting high standards of ethical manufacturing and has decided to discontinue this product by June 2019 as it has been generated by the ascites method. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. We would recommend antibody ab45179 as a replacement.
Our Abpromise guarantee covers the use of ab715 in the following tested applications.
The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.

|IHC-P||1/50 - 1/100.|
|IHC-Fr||Use at an assay dependent concentration.|
Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections) analysis of neuroendocrine tumor tissue labeling Chromogranin A with ab715.
Immunocytochemistry/ Immunofluorescence analysis of human prostate cells labeling Chromogranin A with ab715 at 1/200 dilution (green). Cells were fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde and permeabilized with 0.8% Triton X-100. A donkey anti-mouse (Alexa Fluor® 647) was used as the secondary antibody at 1/400 dilution.
