Applications

Our Abpromise guarantee covers the use of ab15105 in the following tested applications.

The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.

Application Abreviews Notes
IHC-P
  • Application notes
IHC-P: Ready to use. Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM Citrate buffer, pH 6.0 for 10 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min.

    Not tested in other applications.
Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
  • Target

    • Function
Plays a major role in tight junction-specific obliteration of the intercellular space.
    • Involvement in disease
Note=CLDN4 is located in the Williams-Beuren syndrome (WBS) critical region. WBS results from a hemizygous deletion of several genes on chromosome 7q11.23, thought to arise as a consequence of unequal crossing over between highly homologous low-copy repeat sequences flanking the deleted region.
    • Sequence similarities
      Belongs to the claudin family.
    • Cellular localization
Cell junction > tight junction. Cell membrane.
