The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
Application notesIP: Use at 1-5µg/mg of lysate.
WB: 1/1000 - 1/10000. Detects bands of approximately 80, 85 and 120 kDa, (predicted molecular weight of longest isoform: 91 kDa).
Not yet tested in other applications.
Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
FunctionFunctions as a myeloid and B-cell proto-oncogene. May play important roles in leukemogenesis and hematopoiesis. An essential factor in lymphopoiesis, is required for B-cell formation in fetal liver. May function as a modulator of the transcriptional repression activity of ARP1.
Tissue specificityExpressed at high levels in brain, spleen thymus, bone marrow and testis. Expressed in CD34-positive myeloid precursor cells, B-cells, monocytes and megakaryocytes. Expression is tightly regulated during B-cell development.
Involvement in diseaseNote=Chromosomal aberrations involving BCL11A may be a cause of lymphoid malignancies. Translocation t(2;14)(p13;q32.3) causes BCL11A deregulation and amplification.
Immunoprecipitation/ Western Blot of Ctip1.
Lane 1: ab72247 at 1µg/0.5mg lysate for IP.
ab72247 at 0.5µg/ml for WB.
Nuclear lysate from Raji cells at 0.5mg for IP.
Detection:Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 5 minutes.
