Target

  • Function
Receptor for the CX3C chemokine fractalkine and mediates both its adhesive and migratory functions. Acts as coreceptor with CD4 for HIV-1 virus envelope protein (in vitro). Isoform 2 and isoform 3 seem to be more potent HIV-1 coreceptors than isoform 1.
  • Tissue specificity
Expressed in lymphoid and neural tissues.
  • Sequence similarities
Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family.
  • Cellular localization

Images

  • Staining of normal Human peripheral blood cells with 0.125µg/100µl rat IgG1 isotype control Biotin (left) or 0.125µg/100µl ab95620 (right), followed by Streptavidin PE.

Samples were subsequently stained intracellularly with an anti Human Perforin FITC. Cells were gated on CD16+CD56+ using anti-CD16 eFluor 450 and anti-CD56 APC antibodies.
