IHC-FoFr Use at an assay dependent concentration. PubMed: 22815815
IHC-P 1/50. Perform heat mediated antigen retrieval before commencing with IHC staining protocol.
WB Use a concentration of 1 µg/ml. Detects a band of approximately 12 kDa (predicted molecular weight: 12 kDa).


  • FunctionPotent chemoattractant for neutrophils, and weaker for dendritic cells. Not chemotactive for T-cells, B-cells, monocytes, natural killer cells or granulocytes. Does not inhibit proliferation of myeloid progenitors in colony formation assays.
  • Tissue specificityExpressed in heart, brain, placenta, lung, liver, skeletal muscle, kidney and pancreas. Highly expressed in normal tissue without inflammatory stimuli and infrequently expressed in cancer cell lines. Weakly expressed in monocyte-derived dendritic cells. Not detected in lung or unstimulated peripheral blood lymphocytes.

  • Immunohistochemical analysis of inflamed rat dorsal root ganglia, staining CXCL14 with ab36622.

    Dorsal root ganglia were taken 3 days after inflammation, from paraformaldehyde perfused rats and subsequently frozen. Sections were incubated with primary antibody at a dilution of 1/50 overnight at 4°C. An AlexaFluor®594-conjugated goat anti-rabbit IgG was used as the secondary antibody.
