Relevance
|
Cyclins are regulatory subunits of the cyclin-dependent kinases (cdks) and they control transition at different specific phases of the cell cycle. The temporal expression of cyclins is tightly regulated and subsequently plays a critical role in controlling the enzymatic activity of cdks. These cyclin / cdk complexes are essential for passage through specific stages in the cell cycle. In mammalian somatic cells, cyclin A is required for S phase and passage through G2 phase.

Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections) - Cyclin A antibody (ab7956)
ab7956 at 1/150 staining developing mouse embryo tissue sections (5 microns) by IHC-P. The tissue was formaldehyde fixed and and heat mediated antigen retrieval step in citric acid buffer was performed. The tissue was blocked in BSA and incubated with the antibody for 2 hours. A biotinylated goat antibody was used as the secondary. The image shows T/S of developing oesophagus, trachea, skeletal muscle and blood vessel wall.
