Target

  • FunctionActs as a guanine-nucleotide exchange factor (GEF). Promotes guanine-nucleotide exchange on ARF1, ARF3 and ARF6. Promotes the activation of ARF factors through replacement of GDP with GTP. The cell membrane form, in association with ARL4 proteins, recruits ARF6 to the plasma membrane.

    Cytohesin 2 antibody (ab56510) at 1ug/lane + PC-12 cell lysate at 25ug/lane.
  • ab56510 staining Cytohesin 2 in Human AGS Gastric Carcinoma cells by ICC/IF (Immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence). Cells were fixed with acetone, permeabilzed with 0.025% Triton X in TBS and blocked with 5% serum for 1 hour at 23°C. Samples were incubated with primary antibody (3 µg/ml in blocking buffer) for 1 hour at 23°C. An undiluted Alexa Fluor®488-conjugated Goat anti-mouse IgG polyclonal was used as the secondary antibody.

  • ab56510 staining Cytohesin 2 in Human stomach tissue sections by Immunohistochemistry (IHC-Fr - frozen sections). Tissue was fixed with acetone, permeabilized with TBS + 0.025% Triton X 100 and blocked with 5% serum for 1 hour at 23°C. Samples were incubated with primary antibody (3 µg/ml in blocking buffer) for 1 hour at 23°C. An undiluted HRP-conjugated Goat anti-mouse IgG polyclonal was used as the secondary antibody.

  • Overlay histogram showing Caco 2 cells stained with ab56510 (red line). The cells were fixed with 80% methanol (5 min) and incubated in 1x PBS / 10% normal goat serum / 0.3M glycine to block non-specific protein-protein interactions. The cells were then incubated with the antibody (ab56510, 1µg/1x106 cells) for 30 min at 22ºC. The secondary antibody used was DyLight® 488 goat anti-mouse IgG (H+L) (ab96879) at 1/500 dilution for 30 min at 22ºC. Isotype control antibody (black line) was mouse IgG2a [ICIGG2A] (ab91361, 1µg/1x106 cells) used under the same conditions. Acquisition of >5,000 events was performed.
