Thanks for addressing my inquiry. Could you please provide the buffer conditions, extinction coefficient and wavelength used to determine concentration of ab13840, lot GR72589 on order #1059179.

Thank you for your email.

The storage buffer of this antibody is PBS so the Nanodrop is also blanked using PBS. The concentration is determined at a wavelength of A280 and the extinction coefficient is 1.36.


For concentrations less than 1mg/ml, we will have added 1% BSA + 0.02% Sodium Azide to the batch after the concentration was determined. BSA absorbs at A280 also, in which case, the concentration will be reading much higher than it should be (around 3-4mg/ml).

2 readings are taken and the average value is recorded, providing they are no more than 0.02mg/ml apart.
