Properties

Applications

Fast track antibodies constitute a diverse group of products that have been released to accelerate your research, but are not yet fully characterized. They have all been affinity purified and show high titre values against the immunizing peptide (by ELISA). Fast track terms of use

IHC-P Use a concentration of 4 - 6 µg/ml.

Target

  • RelevanceThe protein encoded by this gene is a glycoprotein and a member of the NADPH oxidase family. The synthesis of thyroid hormone is catalyzed by a protein complex located at the apical membrane of thyroid follicular cells. This complex contains an iodide transporter, thyroperoxidase, and a peroxide generating system that includes this encoded protein and DUOX2. This protein is known as dual oxidase because it has both a peroxidase homology domain and a gp91phox domain. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been described for this gene (from EntrezGene).

Anti-DUOX1 antibody images

This Fast-Track antibody is not yet fully characterised. These images represent inconclusive preliminary data.

  • Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin embedded Human thyroid gland labeling DUOX1 with ab78919 at 4-6μg/ml. The image shows staining of membranes in epithelial cells of the thyroid gland.

Steamed antigen retrieval with Tris/EDTA buffer pH 9 was performed. Antibody was detected by HRP-staining.
