  • Application notesGSA: Use at an assay dependent dilution.
    IP (denatured): Use at an assay dependent dilution.
    WB: Use at a concentration of 0.5 - 1 µ g/ml. This concentration is determined using whole extract of transfected 293T (human embryonal kidney) cells expressing E2F4. Detects a band of approximately 50 kDa (predicted molecular weight: 44 kDa) (for natural molecule, may vary in a recombinant preparation).

    Not tested in other applications.
    Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
  • Target

    • FunctionTranscription activator that binds DNA cooperatively with DP proteins through the E2 recognition site, 5'-TTTC[CG]CGC-3' found in the promoter region of a number of genes whose products are involved in cell cycle regulation or in DNA replication. The DRTF1/E2F complex functions in the control of cell-cycle progression from G1 to S phase. E2F-4 binds with high affinity to RBL1 and RBL2. In some instances, can also bind RB protein.
