Target

  • Function
Transcriptional activator that binds to E2F sites, these sites are present in the promoter of many genes whose products are involved in cell proliferation. May mediate growth factor-initiated signal transduction. It is likely involved in the early responses of resting cells to growth factor stimulation.
  • Sequence similarities
    Belongs to the E2F/DP family.
  • Cellular localization
    Nucleus.

  • Immunohistochemical analysis of formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded Human hepatocarcinoma tissue labeling E2F5 with ab176017 at 1/50 dilution, followed by peroxidase conjugation to the secondary antibody and DAB staining.

  • Flow cytometric analysis of ZR-75-1 cells labeling E2F5 with ab176017 at 1/10 dilution (bottom histogram), compared to a negative control cell (top histogram). FITC-conjugated Goat anti-Rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.
