Applications

Our Abpromise guarantee covers the use of ab84015 in the following tested applications.

The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.

Application Abreviews Notes
ELISA Use a concentration of 0.25 - 1 µg/ml. Allows the detection of at least 0.2 - 0.4 ng/well of recombinant mouse Eotaxin 2.
Sandwich ELISA Use a concentration of 0.25 - 1 µg/ml. Can be paired for Sandwich ELISA with Goat polyclonal to Eotaxin 2 (ab84016). Allows the detection of at least 0.2 - 0.4 ng/well of recombinant mouse Eotaxin 2. Can be used as Detection antibody when paired with ab84016.
WB Use a concentration of 0.1 - 0.2 µg/ml. Predicted molecular weight: 13 kDa. The detection limit for recombinant mouse Eotaxin 2 is 1.5 - 3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target

  • Function
Chemotactic for resting T-lymphocytes, and eosinophils. Has lower chemotactic activity for neutrophils but none for monocytes and activated lymphocytes. Is a strong suppressor of colony formation by a multipotential hematopoietic progenitor cell line. Binds to CCR3.
  • Tissue specificity
Activated monocytes and activated T lymphocytes.
  • Sequence similarities
Belongs to the intercrine beta (chemokine CC) family.
  • Post-translational
    modifications
    N-glycosylated.
  • Cellular localization
    Secreted.
