Overview

See all HRP/DAB detection kit kits
  • Detection methodColorimetric
  • Assay typeMicro-Polymer
  • Product overview

The reagents in this kit constitute a biotin-free immunoenzymatic antigen detection system. This technique involves the sequential incubation of the specimen with an unconjugated primary antibody specific to the target antigen, a secondary antibody-HRP conjugate which reacts with the primary antibody, and substrate-chromogen (DAB).

This kit is suitable for staining animal tissues, except mouse and rabbit tissues. The polyvalent-HRP in the kit contains anti-mouse and anti-rabbit secondary antibodies (conjugated with HRP), so the secondary Ab-HRP will non-specifically bind to mouse and rabbit tissues.

  • Notes

DAB is a suspected carcinogen. Handle with care.

    Contains hydrogen peroxide.

  • 5 micron formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded human glioma tissue sections were stained with anti-methyl-CpG DNA binding protein (MBD2) antibody as per EXPOSE kit protocol. Image is customer-generated data.
  • ab80436 was used as instructed to stain RB143 human retinoblastoma cells incubated with rabbit anti-Nestin antibodies. The cells were fixed in a solution of 72% isopropyl alcohol, 19% acetone, 7.6% glycerin and spun onto slides before staining. Image is customer-generated data.

This is confusing. ab113316 is a kit not antibody, customer would not be requiring a DAB kit for this.
