Target

  • Relevance
Factor V is an essential factor of the blood coagulation cascade. This factor circulates in plasma, and is converted to the active form by the release of the activation peptide by thrombin during coagulation. This generates a heavy chain and a light chain which are held together by calcium ions.

  • Immunofluorescence analysis of pMT2/FV tranfected COS-1 cells, staining Factor V Heavy Chain with ab61348.

Cells were fixed with formaldehyde, permeabilized with 0.1% Triton X-100 and blocked with 1% BSA for 30 minutes at 37°C. Samples were incubated with primary antibody (1/2000 in 0.1% Triton X-100 in PBS) for 1 hour at 37°C. An FITC-conjugated goat anti-mouse polyclonal IgG (1/100) was used as the secondary antibody.
