Anti-Fc epsilon RI antibody [CRA2] (Biotin) (ab122915)

Overview

  • Product nameAnti-Fc epsilon RI antibody [CRA2] (Biotin)
See all Fc epsilon RI primary antibodies
  • Description
Mouse monoclonal [CRA2] to Fc epsilon RI (Biotin)
  • ConjugationBiotin
  • Specificityab122891 reacts with the Fc epsilon RI subunit on a region that overlaps the region of the IgE binding site, thus it competes with IgE for the receptor binding. Since the clone CRA1 monoclonal antibody reacts with the site different from the IgE binding site on Fc epsilon RI, it does not compete with IgE for the receptor binding. Combining the two antibodies, one can quantitatively measure the amounts of the IgE-bound Fc epsilon RI.

Applications

Our Abpromise guarantee covers the use of ab122915 in the following tested applications.

The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.

Application Abreviews Notes
WB Use a concentration of 1 µg/ml. Predicted molecular weight: 29 kDa.
ICC Use at an assay dependent concentration.
Flow Cyt Use at an assay dependent concentration. ab18434-Mouse monoclonal IgG1, is suitable for use as an isotype control with this antibody.
Inhibition Assay Use at an assay dependent concentration. Inhibition of binding of IgE with Fc epsilon RI.

Target

  • FunctionBinds to the Fc region of immunoglobulins epsilon. High affinity receptor. Responsible for initiating the allergic response. Binding of allergen to receptor-bound IgE leads to cell activation and the release of mediators (such as histamine) responsible for the manifestations of allergy. The same receptor also induces the secretion of important lymphokines.
  • Sequence similaritiesContains 2 Ig-like (immunoglobulin-like) domains.
  • Cellular localizationCell membrane.
