The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
Application notesELISA: Use at a concentration of 0.15 - 0.3 µg/ml. This allows the detection of at least 0.2 ng/well of recombinant human Follistatin, using 100 µl/well antibody solution.
WB: Use at a concentration of 0.1 - 0.2 µg/ml. Predicted molecular weight: 38 kDa. The detection limit for recombinant human Follistatin to be 1.5 - 3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.
Not yet tested in other applications.
Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
FunctionBinds directly to activin and functions as an activin antagonist. Specific inhibitor of the biosynthesis and secretion of pituitary follicle stimulating hormone (FSH).
Tissue specificityIsoform 1 is the predominant isoform in serum but is undetectable in follicular fluid.
