The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
Application notesIHC-P: Use at a concentration of 0.2 - 0.4 µg/ml (for 30 min at RT). Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 10-20 min, followed by cooling at RT for 20 min.
Not yet tested in other applications.
Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
RelevanceFollicle stimulating hormone enables ovarian folliculogenesis to the antral follicle stage and is essential for Sertoli cell proliferation and maintenance of sperm quality in the testis. Members of the pituitary glycoprotein hormone family, of which FSH is one (see also luteinizing hormone, chorionic gonadotropin, and thyroid stimulating hormone), consist of a shared alpha chain and a beta chain encoded by a separate gene. The FSHB gene encodes the beta subunit of follicle stimulating hormone.
ab80839, at 0.2 µg/ml, staining FSH in human pituitary tissue by Immunohistochemistry (formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue). Followed by a peroxidase conjugated secondary and AEC chromogen.
Note cytoplasmic staining of anterior pituitary cells.
