RelevanceFTSJD2 (FtsJ methyltransferase domain containing 2) shows RNA- and S-adenosyl-methionine binding and protein methyltransferase activity in vitro. It interacts with the C-terminal domain of RNA polymerase II. FTSJD2 may have a role in the interferon response pathway and function in the pre-mRNA processing events mediated by the C-terminal domain of the RNA polymerase II.
