Target

  • RelevanceHuman influenza hemagglutinin (HA) is a surface glycoprotein required for the infectivity of the human virus. The HA tag is derived from the HA molecule corresponding to amino acids 98-106 has been extensively used as a general epitope tag in expression vectors. Many recombinant proteins have been engineered to express the HA tag, which does not appear to interfere with the bioactivity or the biodistribution of the recombinant protein. This tag facilitates the detection, isolation, and purification of the proteins.

  • ab9134 staining HA tag in human HEK293 EBNA cells by Immunocytochemistry/ Immunofluorescence. The cells were fixed in 3% paraformaldehyde and then blocked using 0.27% NH4Cl for 15 minutes at 20°C. Samples were then incubated with primary antibody at 1/100 for 1 hour at 37°C. The secondary antibody used was a rabbit anti-goat IgG conjugated to Alexa Fluor® 456 (green) used at a 1/400 dilution. DAPI was used to stain the cell nuclei (blue).

  • Immunofluorescence analysis of HeLa R1-11 cells transfected with wtFLAGhPCFTMyc-His10 or FLAGP425RMyc-His10 and wthPCFTHA or wthPCFTHA alone. HA tag was stained with ab9134.
    Cells were fixed with paraformaldehyde, permeabilized with 0.1% Triton X-100 and incubated with primary antibody. An Alexa Fluor® 568-conjugated anti-goat IgG was used as the secondary antibody.
