Defects in HOXD10 are a cause of congenital vertical talus (CVT) [MIM:192950]; also known as rocker-bottom foot deformity or congenital convex pes valgus. CVT is a dislocation of the talonavicular joint, with rigid dorsal dislocation of the navicular over the neck of the talus. This condition is usually associated with multiple other congenital deformities and only rarely is an isolated deformity.

ab76897 staining HOXD10 in Mouse spinal cord tissue sections by Immunohistochemistry (IHC-Fr - frozen sections). Tissue was fixed with paraformaldehyde, permeabilized with 0.1% Triton and blocked with 1% BSA for 30 minutes at 25°C. Samples were incubated with primary antibody (1/16000 in PBS + 0.1% Triton + 0.1% BSA) for 18 hours at 4°C. A Cy3®-conjugated Donkey anti-rabbit IgG polyclonal (1/800) was used as the secondary antibody.
