Applications

Our Abpromise guarantee covers the use of ab85698 in the following tested applications.

The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.

Application Abreviews Notes
IHC-P Use a concentration of 3 - 5 µg/ml. Perform heat mediated antigen retrieval with citrate buffer pH 6 before commencing with IHC staining protocol.
WB Use a concentration of 0.2 - 0.6 µg/ml. Predicted molecular weight: 38 kDa.

Target

  • Function
Sequence-specific transcription factor which is part of a developmental regulatory system that provides cells with specific positional identities on the anterior-posterior axis.
  • Tissue specificity
Strongly expressed in the adult male and female urogenital tracts.
  • Involvement in disease
Defects in HOXD10 are a cause of congenital vertical talus (CVT) [MIM:192950]; also known as rocker-bottom foot deformity or congenital convex pes valgus. CVT is a dislocation of the talonavicular joint, with rigid dorsal dislocation of the navicular over the neck of the talus. This condition is usually associated with multiple other congenital deformities and only rarely is an isolated deformity.
  • Sequence similarities
Belongs to the Abd-B homeobox family.
    Contains 1 homeobox DNA-binding domain.
  • Developmental stage
Expressed in the developing limb buds.
  • Cellular localization
    Nucleus.

Predicted band size : 38 kDa
Observed band size : 38 kDa
Additional bands at : 26 kDa,90 kDa. We are unsure as to the identity of these extra bands.Additional bands of unknown identity were also consistently observed at 90+26 kDa. These bands were successfully blocked by incubation with the immunising peptide.
