    Tissue: Breast Location: Left breast. Diagnosis: Infiltrating lobular carcinoma. Stage: III N2M0 Grade: Not graded. Sex: Female Age: 39 years Gross findings: Tumor size 6 cm., ill demarcated. Cut section firm and white. Microscopic findings: Biopsy shows the tumor cells are evidently malignant and invade into the surrounding connective tissues. The malignant cells are large, irregular in size and shape, with hyperchromatic nuclei and increased nucleo-cytoplasmic ratio, irregular nuclear. There is mucinous secretion in cells.

  • Purification notesTissue specimens are homogenized in modified RIPA buffer to obtain the soluble proteins, and centrifuged to clarify. The lysate solution may appear turbid at cold temperatures due to insolubility of buffer components. The solution should clear upon warming to room temperature.
