  • General notesTissue: Stomach Location: Lesser curvature Diagnosis: Mucinous adenocarcinoma Stage: n/a Grade: 2 Sex: Male Age: 51 years Gross findings: Tumor size 5 cm x 7 cm, well differentiated Cut section hard and white. Invading and hemorrhagic. Microscopic findings: Cell distribution uneven; diffuse in some areas clusterized in others. Bleeding present. In some areas tumor cells had glandular structure and showed glandular formation. Secretions present. Overall nuclear atypica grade II showing hyperchromatism and multinucleated giant cells with abnormal mitotic activity.

  • Purification notesTissue specimens are homogenized in modified RIPA buffer to obtain the soluble proteins, and centrifuged to clarify. The lysate solution may appear turbid at cold temperatures due to insolubility of buffer components. The solution should clear upon warming to room temperature.
