During leukocyte trans-endothelial migration, ICAM1 engagement promotes the assembly of endothelial apical cups through ARHGEF26/SGEF and RHOG activation. In case of rhinovirus infection acts as a cellular receptor for the virus.

Immunoprecipitation - ICAM1 antibody (ab101275)
Detection of ICAM1 in Immunoprecipitates of HeLa whole cell lysate (1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded) using ab101275 at 3 µg/mg lysate for IP (Lane 1). An anti-ICAM1 antibody which recognizes an upstream epitope was used at 0.4 µg/ml for subsequent WB detection. Lane 2 represents control IgG IP. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 30 seconds.
