Target

  • Relevance
    ICAM2 is a member of the intercellular adhesion molecule (ICAM) family. All ICAM proteins are type I transmembrane glycoproteins, contain 2-9 immunoglobulin like C2 type domains, and bind to the leukocyte adhesion LFA1 protein. This protein may play a role in lymphocyte recirculation by blocking LFA1 dependent cell adhesion. It mediates adhesive interactions important for antigen specific immune response, NK cell mediated clearance, lymphocyte recirculation, and other cellular interactions important for immune response and surveillance.

  • Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded mouse cerebral cortex tissue labeling ICAM2 with ab189463 at 1/4000 dilution, followed by Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG H&L (HRP), ready to use. Positive staining on vascular endothelium of mouse cerebral cortex (PMID: 12516546). Counter stained with Hematoxylin.

    Secondary antibody only control: Used PBS instead of primary antibody, secondary antibody is Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG H&L (HRP), ready to use.

    Perform heat mediated antigen retrieval using ab93684 (Tris/EDTA buffer, pH 9.0).

  • ICAM2 was immunoprecipitated from 0.35 mg of bEnd.3 (mouse brain endothelioma cell line) whole cell lysate with ab189463 at 1/60 dilution. Western blot was performed from the immunoprecipitate using ab189463 at 1/1,000 dilution. VeriBlot for IP secondary antibody (HRP) (ab131366), was used as secondary antibody at 1/10,000 dilution.

    Lane 1: bEnd.3 whole cell lysate 10 µg (Input). 

    Lane 2: ab189463 IP in bEnd.3 whole cell lysate (+). 

    Lane 3: Rabbit monoclonal IgG (ab172730) instead of ab189463 in bEnd.3 whole cell lysate (-).

    Blocking and dilution buffer and concentration: 5% NFDM/TBST. Exposure time: 30 seconds
