Application Abreviews Notes
WB Use a concentration of 1 - 2 µg/ml. Detects a band of approximately 9 kDa (predicted molecular weight: 11.5 kDa).
ELISA Use a concentration of 2 - 4 µg/ml.
Neutralising Use a concentration of 0.3 - 0.8 µg/ml. in the presence of 10 ng/ml of recombinant mouse IL13 using the human erythroleukemia cell line, TF-1.

Target

  • FunctionCytokine (PubMed:8096327, PubMed:8097324). Inhibits inflammatory cytokine production (PubMed:8096327). Synergizes with IL2 in regulating interferon-gamma synthesis (PubMed:8096327). May be critical in regulating inflammatory and immune responses (PubMed:8096327, PubMed:8097324). Positively regulates IL31RA expression in macrophages.
  • Involvement in diseaseAllergic rhinitis
  • Sequence similaritiesBelongs to the IL-4/IL-13 family.
