The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
Application notesWB: Use at a concentration of 1-5 µg/ml.
This antibody has only been tested in WB against the recombinant fragment used as immunogen. We have no data on the detection of endogenous protein.
Not yet tested in other applications. Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
FunctionRequired for the high affinity binding of interleukin 18 (IL-18) to its receptor complex (By similarity). Together with IL18R1 mediates IL-18-dependent activation of NF-kappa-B and JNK.
Tissue specificityStrongly expressed in peripheral blood leukocytes, spleen, lung, and, to a lesser extent, in colon, but not in any other tissue tested. Strongly expressed in T-cells polarized with IL-12. Specifically coexpressed with IL18R1 in Th1 cells.
Sequence similaritiesBelongs to the interleukin-1 receptor family. Contains 2 Ig-like C2-type (immunoglobulin-like) domains. Contains 1 TIR domain.
