Specificityab11510 recognises natural and recombinant mouse IL2. We have data to indicate that this antibody may not cross react with Rat. However, this has not been conclusively tested and expression levels may vary in certain cell lines/tissues.
The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
Use a concentration of 1 - 4 µg/ml.
Use at an assay dependent dilution.
Use a concentration of 1 - 5 µg/ml. Predicted molecular weight: 20.28 kDa.
FunctionProduced by T-cells in response to antigenic or mitogenic stimulation, this protein is required for T-cell proliferation and other activities crucial to regulation of the immune response. Can stimulate B-cells, monocytes, lymphokine-activated killer cells, natural killer cells, and glioma cells.
Involvement in diseaseNote=A chromosomal aberration involving IL2 is found in a form of T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL). Translocation t(4;16)(q26;p13) with involves TNFRSF17.
