Abcam was set up in 1998 by Jonathan Milner, who was working in a Cambridge University lab. Ten years later, we have grown to nearly 200 employees, based in 3 offices in the US, UK, and Japan. With over 40,000 products in our catalog, we've come a long way from selling antibodies in an ice-bucket! Read more about the Abcam story.
Some of the most noticeable changes over the years have been to the design of our website. We have always aimed to make it as easy as possible for you to find the products and services you need and we continue to work on improvements today. In December 2006 we launched a dedicated website for Japan: www.abcam.co.jp
